King Lorenzo I (or Lorenzo the First) is the king of Bentwood, the older brother/husband of Queen Bunny, and the father of Prince Guysbert and Prince Merkimer.
Appearance[]
Lorenzo is a short, fat man with brown hair and a brown goatee. He wears shoes with very high heels which make him appear taller and are concealed when wearing his cape.
Biography[]
He is first seen when he, his sister/wife, and his sons visit Dreamland to have Bean marry Prince Guysbert. After Guysbert is killed when Bean tricks him into impaling himself on a sword, neither Lorenzo nor Bunny seem too concerned and immediately propose that Bean should marry Merkimer instead. When Merkimer is also taken out when he is turned into a pig, the royals head back to Bentwood, leaving Merkimer behind without a second thought.
In "Beanie Get Your Gun", he and his wife are seen attending Derek's wedding in Dreamland's Cathedral.
They are seen again in "Hey, Pig Spender" when Bean, Elfo, Luci and Merkimer come to Bentwood with the pig that now has Merkimer's body. They try to trick the king and queen into believing Merkimer is human again in hopes that they will give Dreamland the money and weapons they desperately need. However, Lorenzo and Bunny refuse, and Merkimer makes no attempt to help Bean. Then the pig reveals he has learned to talk, and uses the fact that he now resembles Prince Merkimer to stage a coup against Lorenzo and Bunny. Lorenzo is last seen locked up in the dungeons of the Bentwood royal palace. When Bean is also locked up there he tells her he only wanted her to marry one of his sons so he could get access to certain resources that only Dreamland has. Most likely he was talking about the magic hidden in the kingdom that Queen Dagmar was also after. It is unknown what became of him after Bean, Elfo, Luci and Merkimer escaped Bentwood after killing Pig-Merkimer. Nevertheless, as he and Bunny were the last remaining members of the royal family, and as the whole affair fanned their antipathy towards Bean and his friends, on whom the Bentwood soldiers fired several arrows, it is possible that the King and Queen of Bentwood were released from their dungeon and resumed their positions as sovereigns after this incident.
Lorenzo and Bunny also appear in the story "Now Luci Him, Now You Don't" in Disenchantment: Untold Tales Vol. 1, which is chronologically set sometime during Season 1, Part 2, after "The Dreamland Job". They come to visit the royal family of Dreamland for the weekend, and Zøg insists Bean must host their stay in an attempt to make amends for what happened to their sons. Unfortunately, dinner is interrupted by Elfo, who has been convinced by Luci that he is invisible and tries to have some fun. His obnoxious behavior leads to a heated argument between Lorenzo and Zøg. Enraged, Bean orders Luci to fix the mess he caused. Luci thus serves the royals a drink that puts them to sleep, after which they send the sleeping Lorenzo I and Bunny back to Bentwood.

- Lorenzo shares similarities with Cletus Spuckler from the Simpsons in that both women married their biological brother and have adelphogamy kids with them.
